Creating Calm, Steady Spaces
My name is Barb, founder of Stillwater — an emotional wellness initiative supporting youth, families, and schools through regulation tools, workshops, and trauma-aware programming.
Stillwater blends meditation, emotional education, and nervous system support to help individuals return to calm in realistic, compassionate ways.
Our work is grounded in one belief:
Calm is not something we force — it’s something we learn to return to.
You’re invited to meet yourself with steadiness, compassion, and trust

Our Approach: Gentle, Grounded, and Designed for Real Life
Stillwater’s approach is gentle, grounded, and rooted in the realities of everyday emotional life — not perfection.
Our work is not about escaping thoughts or forcing peace.
It’s about learning how to meet yourself — and the young people in your care — with steadiness, compassion, and trust.
Through youth ,workshops, school partnerships, and family programming, we bring these regulation practices into real world learning environments.

Rooted in Inner Safety
Stillwater is built on the belief that calm does not come from pushing feelings away.
It comes from creating emotional safety, softening resistance, and allowing space to breathe without judgment.
This philosophy guides all Stillwater offerings — from school workshops to family programming to meditation resources.
Each experience is developed with care, emotional awareness, and respect for where individuals are in their regulation journey.
Children regulate best when the adults around them feel supported.
That’s why Stillwater’s work extends beyond youth programming to include parents, caregivers, and educators — strengthening the emotional environments children grow within.
By supporting both youth and adults, we create steadier spaces for emotional growth and resilience.

My Personal Journey
Stillwater began as a deeply personal journey.
I created guided meditations for those navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and the quiet pressure of needing to stay strong.
This work reflects my own experience of learning how to slow down, soften, and return to stillness — even when life felt uncertain.
Today, that same intention lives within Stillwater’s youth programs, family support offerings, and emotional wellness resources.
My hope is that Stillwater provides a place — for children and adults supporting them — to return to themselves again and again.
A quiet space of calm beneath the surface.
